Green Apples

I’m a FNTP (Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner) and Chief Wellness Educator and Owner of Nourish with Lisa.

(nour·ish/ ˈnəriSH / verb) 1. Provide with the food or other substances necessary for growth, health, and good condition.

I’m a wife, mom, sister, aunt, bone broth aficionado, nutrient seeker and lover of the outdoors. Kettlebells, dogs, bacon, warm summer days, wearing my “Chucks” and distressed blue jeans are a few of my favorite things. My guilty pleasure is treating myself to a gourmet s’more while sitting around a campfire. I’ve been known to use sarcasm and humor in inappropriate situations, and I’m always down to talk about poop. Most importantly, I’m passionate about rebuilding and restoring wellness using nutrition and lifestyle approaches.

Having worked in the retail food space for over 3 decades, I’ve seen firsthand the changes that were happening to our food system. Being raised in the late 60’s & 70’s, we played outside, we always had
real food, and our overall health reflected it. We didn't have processed foods or aisles at the grocery store dedicated to “snacking” because we all knew that would spoil our dinner

(thanks Grandma!).

I originally dove deep into the world of holistic nutrition through a need. I discovered my son’s behaviors were directly related to what he was eating. Before the internet, searching the library (on a recommendation from his doctor), I discovered the research of Dr. Ben Feingold. After implementing these dietary changes, I immediately saw these behaviors diminish. Twenty years later, that need arose again, this time for my own personal concerns and supporting my own autoimmune health with nutritional therapy provided by an amazing FNTP.

After almost 30 years of educating myself, I realized that my passion for using nutrition and love to support others is what I was meant to do. I am so thankful I have the opportunity to help people make good choices for better health and help restore balance in their lives!
